2 cups sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup peanut butter (we like Naturally Nutty Peanut Butter)
3 cups quick oats
4 ounces Benjamin Twiggs Unsweetened Dried Cherries
(or 4 ounces Benjamin Twiggs Michigan Dried Cherries)
In a large pot, combine sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and add peanut butter and oats. When thoroughly combined, stir in dried cherries.
With a teaspoon, drop on ungreased cookie sheets and allow to harden at room temperature.
Makes around 24 medium sized cookies.
