Mrs. Twiggs’ Cherry Crisp will be a hit with your family and friends warm out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.




1 can Mrs. Twiggs’ Select Cherry Pie Filling

1/2 cup flour (can substitute whole wheat flour)

1/2 cup quick oats

2/3 cup light brown sugar

1/4 t ground nutmeg

3/4 t ground cinnamon

2 T flaxseed (optional)

1/4 cup chopped pecans

1/3 cup melted butter


Preheat oven to 350°

Spray a 2 quart baking dish with non-stick spray.

Pour Mrs. Twiggs Select Cherry Pie Filling into the dish, and spread evenly.

In a medium bowl, mix together flour, oats, sugar, flaxseed, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Mix in melted butter. Spread over pie filling, and sprinkle with chopped pecans.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until topping is golden brown. Allow to cool 15 minutes before serving.

May top with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping.
